It began with an idea…

It all begins with an idea.

It began with an idea, a thought, a dream. We all have those same thoughts, ideas and dreams but why don’t we capitalize on them? Do we think they are out of our reach? Maybe we’re afraid of failure. Or is the reason we just don’t have the confidence? All of these scenarios may be true but for one man, this dream not only came true, but has been a tradition in the Nazarene softball world for over four decades. Teams from all across the country have traveled to Cincinnati, Ohio to compete in what has become known as the Nazarene National Softball Tournament. Fifty to sixty teams arrive in buses, vans, and cars with families, friends, teammates, and pets all to participate in this weekend long slow pitch softball tournament. Players begin playing early Saturday morning until dark Saturday night. Sunday is reserved for what we call “softball Sunday” at SNC along with dinner on the grounds only to get back to the fields on Monday for the final round of play. What a thought. What an idea.
